The National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, has launched his nationwide “Thank You Tour” in the Volta Region, expressing heartfelt appreciation to the people for their unflinching loyalty to President John Dramani Mahama and the NDC’s Parliamentary candidates.
Addressing an energised gathering in Hohoe, where the NDC successfully reclaimed the parliamentary seat, Asiedu Nketiah declared, “I refuse to be an ungrateful National Chairman. I only promise what I can deliver. I committed to returning to thank you, and here I am.”

He emphasised that despite scepticism from opponents, the NDC’s victory in Hohoe was a product of truth, strategy, and the unwavering belief of the people.
On Renewing Development Commitments Mr. Nketiah reaffirmed his determination to complete the University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS) Campus at Fodome, a project initiated by the NDC.
“The UHAS Campus at Fodome will move forward; it is part of our Big Push initiative. We started it, and we will finish it”.
He also pledged to ensure the completion of the Eastern Corridor Road, a project begun under the late President Prof. John Evans Atta Mills, emphasising the party’s commitment to responsible governance as he submitted that “We will not act in ways that undermine the manifesto promises we made to Ghanaians. Delivering on our commitments is the only way to sustain the people’s trust,”.
On the issue of corruption, the NDC Chairman pledged decisive action-“Every pesewa will be recovered from those who steal from the public purse.”
He further assured that security recruitments under the next NDC administration will be transparent and equitable, ensuring that every region receives its fair share.
Turning to the issue of illegal mining (galamsey), he urged Ghanaians to remain patient as the fight for environmental justice takes shape, “No matter how hard you try, you can’t produce a child in less than nine months—the fight against galamsey will take time to yield results.”
The “Thank You Tour” is set to cover all constituencies in the Volta Region, giving him, the platform to interact directly with party supporters, traditional leaders, and local stakeholders.
His message is simple yet profound — gratitude is leadership, and leadership is accountability. Through this tour, the NDC National Chairman is not only thanking supporters but also rekindling the bond between the party and the people who have sustained its vision of justice, unity, and progress.
In politics, gratitude is not weakness—it is the highest form of strength.
The NDC “Thank You Tour” continues across the Volta Region, renewing hope, reaffirming trust, and reigniting the people’s faith in leadership that delivers.
