the Member of Parliament for the Guan Constituency, Fred Agbenyo has fulfilled his promise to support brilliant students who excelled in the 2025 Basic Education Certificate Examination (B.E.C.E.).
According to Philip Adom, the Deputy Communication Officer, Guan Constituency, the gesture, which has been described by many parents as the first of its kind since the Fourth Republic, reflects the MP’s commitment to promoting education and youth empowerment within the constituency.

Hon. Agbenyo was accompanied by the District Chief Executive (DCE), Hon. Godfried Koffie, the Acting Constituency Chairman, Mr. Mathias Amuzu, the Constituency Secretary, Mr. Silas Atikpo, as well as other constituency and branch executives who joined on On Monday, 13th October 2025, to support the worthy initiative.
Philip Adom said in all, 135 students benefited from the donation, with each receiving a chop box, a mattress, pair of sandals, mathematical set, and an envelope containing cash support.
The donation exercise was carried out across three zones namely:
Zone 1: Akpafu and Santrokofi communities converged at Santrokofi Bume
Zone 2: Likpe West zone held its ceremony at Likpe Mate
Zone 3: Likpe East joined Lolobi communities at Kumasi
In his address, Mr. Agbenyo emphasized the crucial roles of parents, teachers, and students in shaping the future of the constituency’s children. He expressed concern over the recent decline in academic performance and urged stakeholders to recalibrate discipline and moral values, particularly in tackling issues such as substance abuse among the youth.
The MP reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to improving the living standards of constituents and promoting unity among the four traditional areas of the Guan Constituency.
