“More communities are getting connected to the national grid”, thus according to Kwame Dzudzorli Gakpey, as he embarks on a rural electrification project to cover more communities under his jurisdiction.

He said, “Work is completed, and we are about to begin pre-commissioning of transformers at Anyako-Konu, Kporgui, and Akotogbor to connect them fully to the national grid”.

On his Facebook page post, Mr. Gakpey noted that for years, many of his communities, like Kporgui, Akotogbor Lawoshime, Agornugble Ayidiga, Mamime, Hagodzi, and Wonyagor, lived without electricity, but “as your representative, I made it a priority to ensure they are not left behind”.

Through engagements with the Ministry of Energy and Green Transition, the MP has personally procured materials for the extension of power to these areas.

Communities under consideration are: Anyako Konu and Afiadenyigba (Avake Kpota), which previously had inadequate supply and are now benefiting from system improvements, including the installation of a 50kVA transformer to stabilize power for households.

“This is part of my commitment to ensure that every community in our constituency enjoys the benefits of reliable electricity. Step by step, we are lighting up Keta”, he stressed.
