In a strong call for peace and unity, the Nima Community has rallied behind NDC Parliamentary Candidate, Baba Jamal following his recent Ayawaso East primaries. Seidu Hassan Fuseini, also known as Chief Louis, Chairman of the Council of Zongo Chiefs in Ayawaso East and leader of all Chiefs in the three Awayaso, addressed the press on behalf of the community, emphasizing the importance of allowing Baba Jamal to lead without interference.
The chiefs collectively appealed to the authorities to respect the outcome of the primaries, which they believe reflects the will of the people. They highlighted that while there are many capable individuals deserving of leadership, Baba Jamal is seen as the candidate best positioned to unite the diverse residents of Nima and foster lasting peace.
During a brief press conference at the Zabaama Palace at Nima, the chiefs reaffirmed their support for Baba Jamal, acknowledging his qualities as a unifier and a leader who can bridge community divides.
They also recognized the integrity of all candidates involved in the electoral process but warned that any attempt to invalidate the results could plunge Nima into chaos and unrest.
The community’s leaders emphasized that stability and harmony are paramount and called on the NDC to respect the democratic process, urging all stakeholders to prioritize the welfare of the people over political disputes.
Their unified stance underscores a deep desire for peace and continued development in Nima, with the chiefs standing as guardians of unity and stability.
