The New Patriotic Party (NPP) is ready for its presidential primaries to be held on Saturday, January 31, 2026 nationwide.
A total of 211,849 delegates are expected to cast their votes at 333 polling centres across the country’s 276 constituencies.
The polling centres are spread across the 16 regions, with voting hours set from 7:00 AM to 2:00 PM. The Electoral Commission (EC) will oversee the entire process, with the Ghana Police Service providing security at all centres.
Five aspirants are vying for the party’s flagbearer position: Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, Dr. Bryan Acheampong, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, and Kwabena Agyei Agyepong. According to recent polls, Dr. Bawumia is leading with 61% support, followed by Kennedy Agyapong with 25.10%.
The results will be declared at polling centres, collated at regional centres, and finally announced at the party’s headquarters in Accra.
