The Member of Parliament for Tema East, Isaac Ashai Odamtten, held a high-level stakeholder engagement with the Management of Tema General Hospital, focusing on healthcare, security, water infrastructure, and party affairs, reinforcing his commitment to holistic development in the constituency.
The day commenced with a significant working visit to the Tema General Hospital, primarily to officially welcome and hold introductory talks with the new Medical Director, Dr. Raphael Armah, and Hon. Odamtten took the opportunity to highlight his longstanding support for the facility, detailing key interventions made during his tenure as Municipal Chief Executive and as Member of Parliament. These pivotal contributions include: Construction of the Mortuary Building, construction of the Post-Delivery and MTN Wards, and the provision of a Poly Tank to significantly improve water accessibility for the hospital.

Following the meeting, the MP, accompanied by the full Hospital Management Team, conducted an inspection tour of critical ongoing projects. The tour covered the new Physiotherapy Department, a new Surgical Theatre, a state-of-the-art Oxygen Plant, and administrative facilities.
He reassured the management of his continuous and unwavering support for the hospital. In response, Dr. Raphael Armah expressed profound gratitude for the visit and extended thanks to the people of Tema for their consistent benevolence, noting that the hospital receives donations from the community every single week.

Subsequently, the MP moved to the port to engage with the Port Security Manager, Lt. Colonel Daniel Atobrah Bondah. The discussions focused on resolving a pressing issue concerning a group of local scrap dealers whose business operations had been recently halted by GPHA Security, following the MPโs intervention on their behalf.

Hon. Odamtten further engaged with the Tema Regional Chief Manager for Ghana Water Company Limited, Dr. Samuel Ason. The meeting addressed the critical issue of low water distribution and accessibility in parts of the community. Dr. Ason assured the MP of the companyโs plans to lay new, larger pipes across affected service lines to ameliorate the situation and ensure a reliable water supply.
