This Ghana Month, Ghana turn the spotlight on the rich culture and vibrant fashion! Every Wednesday, Ghanaians are coming together to showcase their pride by donning the iconic Fugu — a symbol of “our heritage and style”.

In Parliament on 18th March, 2026, four MPs: Sebastian Fred Deh, Member of Parliament for Kpando, Frank Afriyie, Member of Parliament for Afadjato South, Thomas Worlanyo Tsekpo, Member of Parliament for Hohoe and Maxwell Kwame Lukutor, Member of Parliament for South Tongu were smartly dressed in Batakari or Fugu to promote Ghana made.

There they follow President Mahama’s footsteps donning in there beautiful, elegant, smelling Fugu on the floor of Parliament.

 

The “Wear Ghana” campaign is in full swing, encouraging everyone to embrace and celebrate local fashion.

The message promotes Ghana Month by encouraging Ghanaians to wear Fugu every Wednesday as part of the “Wear Ghana” campaign. It highlights the celebration of Ghanaian culture and fashion, with streets and social media filled with colorful Fugu outfits, uniting celebrities and citizens alike to showcase national pride and tradition.

 

From bustling markets to social media feeds, the streets are alive with colorful Fugu outfits, reflecting Ghanaian creativity and unity.
