The National Film Authority (NFA) has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of actress and creative industry stakeholder Beverly Afaglo, describing her as a vibrant and respected figure who helped shape Ghanaian storytelling.

n a statement signed by Kafui Danku-Pitcher, Executive Secretary of the NFA, the Authority said it received the news of Afaglo’s death with “deep sorrow.”
“Beverly Afaglo was a vibrant and respected figure within Ghana’s film and entertainment industry whose contribution, talent, and dedication helped shape and promote Ghanaian storytelling over the years,” the statement read.
The NFA noted that Afaglo’s presence on screen and within the creative community will be greatly missed.
On behalf of the Board, Management, and Staff, Danku-Pitcher extended heartfelt condolences to her family, loved ones, colleagues, and the wider creative arts fraternity.
“The Ghanaian film industry has lost one of its cherished talents, and we mourn alongside all who were touched by her life and work,” the statement added.
The Authority concluded with the tribute: “May her soul rest in perfect peace.”
Afaglo was known for her work in Ghana’s film and television space and was regarded as a consistent advocate for the growth of local content and talent.
