The National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, has kicked off his ‘Thank You Tour’ of the Ashanti Region, starting with a series of visits to 15 constituencies. The tour, which began on March 25, 2026, is aimed at expressing his appreciation to party members and the general public for their support in the 2024 general elections.
During the elections, Asiedu Nketiah campaigned extensively in the Ashanti Region, and this tour is to acknowledge the efforts of party faithful and sympathizers.
The three-day tour, which covers 15 constituencies, is being undertaken in phases, with the first phase focusing on constituencies such as Ejura Sekyedumase, Mampong, and Obuasi West.
The tour schedule was adjusted due to a cabinet meeting, with new dates announced for Days 2 and 3.
The NDC Ashanti Regional Organiser, Isham Alhassan, assured that the remaining constituencies would be visited in subsequent phases, urging them to be ready for the National Chairman’s visit.
Asiedu Nketiah’s tour is seen as an opportunity to reconnect with party members and stakeholders in the Ashanti Region, a key constituency in Ghana’s politics.
The NDC’s ‘Thank You Tour’ is expected to strengthen party unity and prepare for future electoral battles.
The tour will be undertaken in Phases with PHASE 1 beginning on *Wednesday 25th March 2026 and covering a total of fifteen (15) Constituencies.*
