Rev. Martin Amenaki, MCE for Ketu North in the Volta Region has handed over 500 desks and chairs to Dzodze Technical Institute to enhance teaching and learning.

This follows an appeal he made to the Regional Director of TVET, showcasing his commitment to improving education in the area.

The donation is part of efforts to make the newly commissioned 3-unit classroom block and workshop fully operational.

The facility, which includes a workshop and rainwater harvesting system, aims to reduce overcrowding and ensure a reliable water supply.

Rev. Amenaki praised his predecessor, Anthony Avorgbedor, for initiating the project and emphasized the importance of continuity in governance.

He urged students to utilize the facilities, teachers to remain committed, and the community to safeguard the investment.

Dzodze Technical Institute (DZOTECH) is a government-owned Technical and Vocational Institute located in Dzodze Bedzeme, along the Dzodze-Nuife road. Established on January 14, 2019, it’s accredited and supervised by the Ghana TVET Service.

The institute offers various programs, including:
– *Fashion Design Technology*
– *Catering and Hospitality Management*
– *Electrical Engineering Technology*
– *General Textile (Batik Tie and Dye)*

Dzodze Technical Institute aims to provide quality education and equip students with practical skills for the job market.

It’s a mixed-gender institution operating on a single track system, promoting inclusivity and diversity.

In related development; the MCE had the honour of witnessing a brief but meaningful ceremony at Kave M.A. Basic School, where fifty school uniforms were generously donated by the CEO of the Dzidzeme Foundation, Miss Klu Melody Dzidzeme.

A week prior, Miss Dzidzeme paid a courtesy visit to my office to extend an invitation to this event, and I am pleased to have been part of such a commendable initiative aimed at supporting needy students in the community.

Rev. Amenaki acknowledged the invaluable support extended to the Dzidzeme Foundation by the former Municipal Chief Executive for the Ketu North Municipal Assembly, Anthony Korbla Avorgbedor, whose contribution continues to advance this noble cause.

“May the Almighty richly bless all benefactors for their kindness and compassion toward these fifty deserving students”.

As part of “my unwavering commitment to the development of Ketu North, I took note of the concerns raised in the Headmaster’s welcome address regarding the school’s infrastructure challenges. I wish to assure the school authorities, teachers, parents, and the entire community that within the next three months, my administration will cut sod for the construction of either a Junior High School block or a Kindergarten block to help address the existing classroom deficit”, he noted.
