The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) has held a Farewell Parade and Pulling-Out Ceremony to honour the outgoing Forces Sergeant Major (FSM), Chief Warrant Officer (CWO) Daniel Addo, at Burma Camp in Accra, after 30 years of relentless service.

Gracing the occasion as Guest of Honour, the Deputy Defence Minister, Hon Ernest Brogya Genfi, presented a brand-new Toyota Hilux pickup vehicle to CWO Addo in recognition of his meritorious service, discipline, dedication and sacrifice to the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF). He was also honoured with a citation and additional gifts from the Military High Command and other organisations in recognition of his invaluable contributions to national security.
In his remarks, CWO Addo expressed gratitude to the military leadership and colleagues for the unwavering support during his tenure. He urged officers and soldiers of the GAF to uphold high standards of discipline and professionalism and to offer the same support to the incoming FSM, Master Warrant Officer (MWO) Alhassan Zakaria.

In line with military tradition, the ceremony featured a parade of the three services and a formal handing over of command baton to MWO Zakaria, symbolising a smooth transfer of authority.
The ceremony concluded with a traditional pulling-out, marking his official retirement from active service.
