Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana (ICAG) has officially commenced a series of courtesy visits to stakeholders in the Ho Municipality as part of preparations towards hosting the 2026 Accountants’ Conference.
The ICAG delegation, led by its Chief Executive Officer, Eric Oduro Osae, FCA included Executives from the Ho District Society of ICAG as well as Directors and Staff of the Institute.
The team first paid a visit to the Volta Regional Minister before proceeding to engage the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of the Ho Municipal Assembly, Mr. Stephen Adom.

During the meeting, Mr. Osae formally informed the MCE about the upcoming conference and its significance. He highlighted the anticipated economic benefits for Ho, noting that the event is expected to stimulate local businesses, increase tourism, and position the municipality as a key destination for major professional gatherings.
He also appealed for the Assembly’s support to ensure the success of the conference.
In response, Mr. Adom pledged the Assembly’s full support for the initiative. He expressed enthusiasm about Ho being selected as host city and emphasized his vision of transforming the municipality into a vibrant conference hub.
He noted that the 2026 Accountants’ Conference presents a valuable opportunity to advance that goal and assured ICAG of the Assembly’s readiness to collaborate.
The courtesy visit marks an important step in ICAG’s engagement with local authorities as it lays the groundwork for what is expected to be a landmark event in Ghana’s professional calendar.
