Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana (ICAG) has continued its stakeholder engagements in the Ho Municipality with a courtesy visit to the Ho Technical University as part of preparations towards the 2026 Accountants’ Conference.
The ICAG delegation, led by its Chief Executive Officer, Eric Oduro Osae, FCA, was warmly received by the Vice-Chancellor and his management team.
The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Ben Q. Honyenuga expressed excitement about Ho being selected to host the prestigious national conference, noting that it presents a significant opportunity to showcase the institution and the municipality.
The Vice-Chancellor described Ho as an “oxygen city,” highlighting its serene and conducive environment for academic and professional gatherings. He assured ICAG of the University’s full support in hosting the conference, adding that the institution is eager privileged to be hosting some of the event’s activities on campus.

He further emphasized that the conference would provide a valuable platform for networking between students, academia, and industry professionals. According to him, the presence of seasoned Chartered Accountants would inspire students of the University to pursue professional certification and careers in accountancy.
In his remarks, Mr. Osae expressed appreciation for the warm reception and the University’s readiness to collaborate. He underscored the importance of institutional partnerships in delivering a successful conference and called for continued support from the University.
The visit forms part of ICAG’s broader efforts to build strong local partnerships and ensure that the 2026 Accountants’ Conference delivers lasting academic, professional, and economic impact for Ho and beyond.
