Speaker Alban Bagbin has donated assorted educational and household items to Sombo Senior High School in the Nadowli-Kaleo District of the Upper West Region.
The items, which are intended to support effective teaching and learning at the school, include laptop,desktop computers,a printer,a refrigerator,gas cookers,and other materials.
Speaking on the gesture, officials of the school expressed gratitude to Speaker Bagbin for the donation, saying it will help improve the school’s capacity for learning and practical work. They noted that the computers and related equipment will support students and teachers in research, preparation of lesson materials, and the use of digital resources.
The school also indicated that the non-educational support items such as the refrigerator and gas cookers will assist the institution with day-to-day management and improve the school’s ability to run certain programmes smoothly.
Community members and school authorities lauded the donation, describing it as a step toward enhancing educational infrastructure and ensuring better learning outcomes for students in the district.
The donation forms part of broader efforts to strengthen secondary education in the region and encourage students with improved learning tools and facilities.
