President John Dramani Mahama will undertake a 2-day working visit to the Volta Region from Thursday, 16th July to Friday, 17th July 2026 as part of the #ResettingGhana Tour.
According to the Presidential Itinerary released by the Presidency, the visit will focus on infrastructure, education, health, security and citizen engagement.
Day 1: Thursday, 16 July 2026
The President’s tour begins at 10:00am with a sod cutting for a 24-hour Economy Market at Juapong.
At 12:00 Noon, he will inspect a new 1,500-capacity multipurpose assembly hall at the Peki College of Education.

Later at 1:00pm, President Mahama will inspect ongoing road projects including the Asikuma to Anyirawase Road and the UHAS by-pass & Anyirawase to Ho Road.
He will then inspect a multi-purpose laboratory project at the UHAS Sokode Campus at 2:00pm.
The day ends at 3:00pm with a Free Primary Health Care programme durbar at the Ho Municipal Hospital.
Day 2: Friday, 17 July 2026
Day two starts at 10:00am with an inspection of the state of the Ho Sports Stadium.
At 11:00am, the President will hold a #ResettingGhana Citizens Engagement with residents at the Ho Technical University.
He will later inaugurate the Akatsi North District Police Headquarters at Ave Dakpa at 3:30pm.
The tour wraps up at 5:00pm with an inspection of the Ho to Denu Road.
The #ResettingGhana Tour is expected to give residents in the Volta Region the opportunity to interact directly with the President and assess government projects in the area.
