President Mahama begins his tour of the Volta Region today, starting in Juapong with a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of eighteen (18) 24-hour Economy Model Markets across all districts in the region.
The visit will also include stops at the Peki College of Education (GOVCO) and the University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS) in Sokode. Additionally, the President will inspect ongoing works on the Asikuma to Ho road under the Big Bush Programme and inaugurate a District Police Headquarters for the Akatsi North District.

Accompanied by Ministers of State, Heads of Institutions, and Members of Parliament, President Mahama will host an educational durbar focused on the Free Primary Health Care programme.
On Friday, he will hold a town hall meeting at Ho Technical University to engage directly with chiefs and the people of the region. This forum will serve as an opportunity for the government to receive direct feedback on key policy initiatives and development projects.
The President is also scheduled to visit the Ho Sports Stadium to assess its current condition firsthand.
