Daniel Hamenu, popularly known as “Chica” and current Constituency Youth Organizer for Ketu North, has officially declared his intention to contest for Deputy Volta Regional Youth Organizer in the upcoming NDC party reorganization this November.
Hamenu, who is also the Acting Volta Regional Director of the Youth Employment Agency (YEA), says his bid is grounded in years of grassroots work and party service.
His resume includes roles as branch executive, polling agent, election task force member, elected assembly member, and member of both Ketu North and Regional Communications Teams.
He has also served as leader and member of several regional pressure groups.
Announcing his vision, Mr. Hamenu outlined 3 core policy commitments he will pursue if elected:
Empowering the Grassroots:
He pledged to strengthen youth structures across all constituencies in the Volta Region to build a solid base for “total victory” in future elections.
Strategic Mobilization:
He promised to deploy modern, energetic campaigns to drive massive voter turnout and improve the NDC’s electoral performance in the region.
Capacity Building:
He committed to equipping young party members with sustainable opportunities and political education to prepare the next generation of NDC leaders.
According to Hamenu, his experience at YEA and on the ground gives him the administrative competence and strategic vision needed to mobilize and empower the Volta youth.

My name is Daniel Hamenu (Chica), and I am officially declaring my intention to contest for the position of Deputy Volta Regional Youth Organizer in the upcoming NDC party reorganization this November.
My journey in our great party is rooted in grassroots dedication, sacrifice, and relentless activism. Having served as a branch executive, polling agent, election task force member, elected assembly member, Ketu North and regional Communications Team member, and a leader and member of a few regional pressure groups and presently serving my second term as the Constituency Youth Organizer for Ketu North —I understand the pulse, struggles, and aspirations of the Volta youth.
As the Acting Volta Regional Director of the Youth Employment Agency (YEA), I bring proven administrative competence, strategic vision, and an unwavering commitment to youth empowerment and party mobilization.
