The Chief Executive Officer of the Youth Employment Agency (YEA), Malik Basintale, has led the passing-out ceremony for the first batch of YEA Prison Service Assistants who have successfully completed their refresher training.
The training is aimed at preparing the beneficiaries for absorption into the mainstream Ghana Prisons Service after completing their two-year contract under the Youth Employment Agency.
The exercise marks an important step in the YEA’s commitment to transitioning beneficiaries from temporary employment opportunities into sustainable and permanent career pathways.
The YEA Prison Service Assistants module is one of the Agency’s security services modules designed to support the Ghana Prisons Service while providing employable skills and job opportunities for Ghanaian youth.
Mr Basintale commended the recruits for their discipline and dedication throughout the training period and reaffirmed the Agency’s resolve to ensure that hardworking beneficiaries are given a fair opportunity to secure permanent employment.
The Agency says the initiative aligns with its broader mandate of youth employment and empowerment.
