The National Petroleum Authority (NPA) has welcomed an eight-member delegation from Zambia’s energy regulatory sector on a technical study visit focused on Ghana’s downstream petroleum regulatory systems and best practices.
NPA CEO, Godwin Edudzi Tameklo Esq, shared insights into Ghana’s regulatory innovations, including petroleum pricing, product quality assurance, monitoring, compliance and the use of mystery shopping to safeguard product integrity.

The Zambian delegation also explored Ghana’s experience in fuel marking, LPG regulation, inspections, audits and enforcement as Zambia reviews its energy policies and legislation.
The engagement reinforces the importance of peer learning, knowledge exchange and institutional collaboration in strengthening Africa’s energy regulatory systems.
