The race for the Volta Regional Secretary position of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has intensified as Comrade Paschal Agbagba officially picked his nomination forms today.
Comrade Agbagba, a seasoned administrator and former three-term Regional Director of Elections, has joined the contest in what his team describes as a decisive and historic milestone in the effort to fortify the “engine room” of the party in the region.
According to his campaign team, his decision is in response to overwhelming calls from branch and constituency executives, elders and party faithful across all 18 constituencies who are demanding proven competence, continuity and battle-tested experience at the helm of the regional administration.
Speaking to the media, after picking the forms, Mr. Agbagba reiterated his commitment to running an open, accessible and highly resourceful Secretariat.
“The Regional Secretariat is the engine room of our party’s stronghold — it requires steady hands, institutional memory and tactical discipline. Our mission is clear: to unite every comrade, protect every single ballot, and build an unstoppable electoral machinery that guarantees decisive victory for the NDC in subsequent elections,” he said.
Team Paschal Agbagba has extended its gratitude to delegates and supporters across the region for their loyalty and solidarity, noting that the journey to consolidate the grassroots and secure the party’s future has officially begun.
