The Member of Parliament for Ketu North, Eric Edem Agbana, has unveiled plans to organise a large-scale free medical outreach across the constituency in December.
The programme, scheduled for 13th to 20th December, 2026, is expected to benefit about *40,000 residents in 28 communities* across the constituency.
Speaking on the initiative, Hon. Agbana disclosed that about *100 certified medical professionals* will be deployed for the exercise, operating under the supervision of the Ghana Health Service.
He explained that the professionals will be grouped into *four teams*, with each team serving *four different communities daily* to ensure wide coverage within the 8-day period.
Services to be provided include::
– Comprehensive eye screening with free surgeries for qualified patients
– Dental screening and treatment
– General medical consultations
– Free prescription drugs
– Treatment of identified conditions where clinically appropriate
– Specialist referrals
– Health education on preventive care
The MP said the initiative is anchored on one mission — to make better healthcare accessible to all, regardless of location or financial status.
Hon. Agbana has therefore called on individuals, corporate bodies, development partners and philanthropists to support the programme through partnership, sponsorship or volunteering.
According to him, collective support will help extend quality healthcare to thousands of residents who otherwise struggle to access such services.
