The Minister in his remarks, urged the management and staff of NITA to accord the new Director-General their full support to enable him to drive the agency’s restructuring agenda and deliver on its core mandate.

He emphasized the critical role of NITA in Ghana’s digital transformation efforts, particularly in ICT policy implementation, cybersecurity, and e-governance.

Dr. Oliver-Kevor brings to NITA over 20 years of experience in academia, specializing in Knowledge Management Systems, ICT and SME studies, Telecommunications, and Information Security.

His vast expertise in research and digital technology positions him to spearhead strategic reforms that will enhance Ghana’s ICT regulatory framework and digital infrastructure.

Prior to his appointment, Dr. Oliver-Kevor served as a board member of the National Communications Authority (NCA) during President Mahama’s first administration, where he played a crucial role in shaping Ghana’s telecom regulations.

With his leadership, NITA is expected to strengthen its role in enhancing ICT governance, expanding digital infrastructure, and ensuring robust cybersecurity frameworks to support Ghana’s growing digital economy.
