Mr. Okraku contested unopposed and will serve a four-year term from 2025 to 2029 on the 24-member committee, which plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of football across Africa.

Having assumed the leadership of Ghana football in October 2019 and later taking on the role of head of WAFU Zone B in 2023, the former Executive Chairman of Dreams FC now holds a significant position within the African football governance structure.

His new role provides Ghana with a stronger voice in shaping important decisions within CAF and offers the GFA an opportunity to advocate for progressive reforms and development in African football. Okraku joins a notable list of Ghanaian football figures who have served on the CAF Executive Committee, including Ohene Djan, Kobina Hagan, Nana Fredua Mensah, Samuel Okyere, and Kwesi Nyantakyi.
