The newly commissioned Lab 14 – Yamoransa Model is part of a nationwide initiative aimed at integrating technology into education, particularly in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). The facility is expected to revolutionize learning by equipping students with critical digital skills to navigate an increasingly technology-driven world.

Despite his demanding national duties, Speaker Bagbin made time to personally dedicate the facility, describing it as “a game-changing intervention and a beacon of hope and progress for our nation.” He emphasized the lab’s potential to bridge the digital divide and improve education in underserved communities like Kaleo.

Empowering Future Generations Through Technology

The Yamoransa Model project has already shown great success in other parts of Ghana, improving teaching methods and fostering student interest in STEM, especially among girls. Speaker Bagbin noted that the introduction of Lab 14 aligns with Ghana’s broader commitment to quality education and sustainable development.

“Apart from the historic contributions of early settlers, missionaries, and the introduction of formal education in 1947, this lab stands as one of the most impactful projects in Kaleo and its surrounding communities,” he stated.

Stressing the need for long-term sustainability, the Speaker urged the community to take full ownership of the facility. “This is your project. I simply mobilized the money and the brains to put it together. Own it and sustain it,” he said.

Gratitude to Partners and Stakeholders

Speaker Bagbin expressed deep appreciation to all those who played a role in making Lab 14 a reality. He specifically acknowledged the Helping Africa Foundation for its financial backing, TechAide for providing the technological infrastructure, and the various contractors, consultants, and implementers who brought the vision to life.

He also commended the Nadowli Kaleo District Assembly, the Education Directorate, and the Traditional Council for their unwavering support in ensuring the smooth execution of the project.

A Call to Action for Students and Educators

Encouraging students and teachers to take full advantage of the facility, Speaker Bagbin underscored the importance of discipline, hard work, and perseverance.

“Let this be a place where curiosity is sparked, creativity is unleashed, and knowledge is expanded. The future of our nation rests in your capable hands,” he told the students.

The Speaker also called on individuals and organizations to contribute towards the long-term sustainability of the lab, noting that investments in education always yield lasting benefits.

“Value is never free. There is no free lunch in the world. Support this work of excellence,” he urged.
