In a touching gesture of compassion and solidarity, Hon. Akurugu visited the orphanage with a team of aides, supporters, and well-wishers. The celebration was filled with moments of joy, music, dancing, and the sharing of a special birthday cake with the children and staff.

In a statement, dated
April 9, 2025, Makafui Klutsey, her spokesperson, said the MP used the occasion to donate essential supplies, including food items and other essential supplies, to support the upkeep of the facility.

Addressing the children and staff, the MP emphasized the importance of showing love, inclusivity, and care for the most vulnerable in society.

The management of Motherlove Orphanage expressed deep appreciation for the MP’s visit, describing it as a morale booster for both the children and caregivers. “Her presence here means the world to us. It gives the children hope and reminds them that they are not forgotten,” said Rev Azumah, Director of the orphanage.
