As part of his efforts to stay connected with the people, the MP for Afadzato South has visited Ve Golokuati and Ve Wudome over the week to hold a brief with them on Parliamentary business.

In Ve Golokuati, the MP had a meaningful meeting with the Chiefs and Elders, where he updated them on works in Parliament at the beginning of this year.

The people shared their appreciation for the progress made so far under the leadership of John Dramani Mahama and the NDC government, especially in delivering on important promises.

The MP, Frank Afriyie assured the Chiefs and people of the government’s strong commitment to solving the water problem in Ve Golokuati, the District Capital as he shared plans underway to bring important offices like the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS Ghana) and the Electricity Company (ECG GHANA) to the District to make services more accessible to everyone.

He later went to Ve Wudome, where he met with Chiefs, Elders, Teachers, Basic 9 students, SME leaders, and PTA Chairmen at the Ve Wudome D/A Basic School.

The visit was in response to a terrible rainstorm that occurred on March 17, 2025, which tore off the entire JHS classroom roof.

To support the school, Mr. Afriyie donated roofing materials and money to help fix the damage quickly.

The Chiefs and the whole community warmly welcomed the support and expressed joy.

He also visited a family whose home was badly damaged by the same storm and provided them with roofing materials so they could start rebuilding without delay.

“Our commitment is simple: to stand with our people—in progress and in tough times. Together, we will continue to build a strong, united, and prosperous Afadzato South”, he mentioned.
