The NHIA Client Relations team continued its sensitization and support visit at Malata Market in the Ayawaso District of Greater Accra where they engaged traders on the schemer’s existing policies, the myNHIS App, Ghana Card linkage, and mobile renewal. Malata Market, a bustling and densely populated hub, welcomed the team, with traders eager to discuss their issues concerning their NHIS memberships. They were also interested in learning about the yet to be introduced Free Primary Healthcare and Mahama Cares policies. The session was impactful, with many traders expressing their appreciation for the valuable information shared.

The team also highlighted that NHIS membership requires annual renewal. They demonstrated the quick *929# process and the mobile app for easy renewals and checking of benefit package .

With on-site support, the team successfully renewed 30 memberships and linked 15 Ghana Cards onto the NHIS.

Traders were reminded that further assistance is available through the NHIA call centre or at the NHIA District Office located within the Malata Government Hospital. To wrap up the visit, the team distributed branded souvenirs as tokens of appreciation.
