Chairman of the NDC-USA Chapter, Members of the National Executive Committee, Comrades of the great National Democratic Congress, distinguished guests, ladies and gentlemen:

Good evening, and warm greetings from Ghana to you all.

It is with great honor and a deep sense of responsibility that I stand before you today at this historic gathering of patriots, visionaries, and committed comrades. I bring you solidarity greetings from the land we love so dearly—our homeland Ghana—and from the people of Guan, who, like all true believers in the cause of the NDC, remain hopeful for a better, more prosperous, and more inclusive future.

Today, we celebrate a resounding victory—the reclaiming of our national destiny through the collective will of the people of Ghana. The 2024 elections have once again proven that when people are united in purpose, unwavering in conviction, and guided by truth, no force, no matter how entrenched, can stand in their way.

Let me begin by congratulating all of you—members of the NDC-USA Chapter—for your steadfast commitment, your tireless advocacy, your resources, and your intellect, all of which you brought to bear in this long but victorious struggle. You mobilized. You engaged. You educated. You voted. And above all, you believed.

But today is not only about celebration. It is also a moment for reflection—a moment to draw lessons from the journey that has brought us this far. Our theme, “Sustaining the Victory: Uniting the Diaspora for National Renewal”, is not merely a slogan. It is a creed. It is a call to consciousness and action. Because unity, comrades, is not a destination; it is a daily decision.

In the past, we have seen what division and internal rancor can do to even the most promising of movements. We have learned, sometimes painfully, that electoral victory is not secured by numbers alone, but by unity of purpose. When we speak with one voice, when we march with one rhythm, and when we build with one heart, we become an unshakable force.

And so, I urge all of us—both at home and in the diaspora—to hold fast to this unity. Let us not forget that the victory of 2024 was not for the NDC alone; it was a victory for the Ghanaian people. It was a triumph of democratic resilience and a testament to the NDC’s enduring relevance as a political tradition that places people first.

To my compatriots in the diaspora, your role remains as crucial as ever. You are ambassadors of our values, advocates for our policies, and living proof of Ghana’s potential. We must now consolidate our gains—by contributing to the national discourse, investing in our communities, mentoring the next generation, and holding our new government accountable to the very ideals that brought us this far: probity, accountability, transparency, and development.

Let me also take a moment to salute our flagbearer and now President, His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, whose leadership, humility, and vision rekindled hope across the nation. His unwavering resolve and his ability to bring all factions of our party together are an example to all of us.

Comrades, unity is not the absence of difference; it is the mastery of our differences in pursuit of a shared goal. And victory is not an end in itself; it is the beginning of a greater responsibility—the responsibility to deliver, to transform, and to uplift every Ghanaian regardless of political colour.

Let us walk boldly into the future, with our eyes fixed on justice, our hands ready for service, and our hearts full of compassion. Let us defend the gains we have made, deepen the values that define us, and dedicate ourselves wholly to the service of Ghana.

I am confident that with unity as our compass, and victory as our starting point, we will build the Ghana we all dream of—a Ghana of opportunity, of fairness, of dignity, and of boundless promise.

May God bless you all.
May God bless the great NDC.
May God bless our dear nation, Ghana.

Thank you.
