He informed the House that, the Business Committee has scheduled twelve (12) Ministers to appear before Parliament to respond to Fifty-Eight (58) questions filed by Members. He also indicated that, Ministers of State may be permitted to make policy statements during the week.
“In accordance with Order 159, bills may be presented to the House for First Reading. However, urgent bills may be taken through all stages in one day, as provided for under Order 160,” he said.
He further noted that, papers may be laid and committee reports may be presented for the House’s consideration.
Commenting on the statement, the Minority Leader, Hon. Alexander Kwamena Afenyo-Markin, requested an update from the Ministers for Finance and Energy and Green Transition on developments related to the conflict between Israel and Iran. He also urged that the Finance Minister be programmed to brief the House on the E-Levy on fuel prices.
In a response, the Majority Leader, Hon. Mahama Ayariga said the E-Levy on fuel has been suspended due to rising prices of goods.

He added that the Minister for Foreign Affairs is expected to brief the House on the Israel-Iran conflict.
