According to him, the GETFund has initiated arrangements with the various consultants to enable contractors to mobilize to the sites, “however, the dates for completion of the projects cannot be determined now, but prompt releases of funds from the Ministry of Finance will greatly help to speed up the early completion of these stalled projects.

In responding to a Parliamentary question asked by MP for Odododiodo, Alfred Nii Kotey Ashie, the Sector Minister to update the House on the stalled Ayalolo Cluster of Schools project in his constituency, Mr. Iddrisu added that the contract was awarded to Messrs Flexcom MB Limited in 2016 to construct an 8-unit Classroom Block for the school but could not be completed “Due to financial challenges, the above project has stalled”.

The school has a student enrolment of 1,614, comprising 786 males and 828 females. The school has a staff strength of 64 teachers, of which 20 are males and 44 are females.

In related development, the Ministry promises to engage with the Regional Coordinating Council and the Metropolitan Assembly on the way forward about the Richard Akwei Memorial School Project in Odododiodioo, given concerns regarding the structural integrity of the facility and its potential safety risks.
