In an interaction with management and staff of the Commission, the Minister underscored the critical role the agency plays in Ghana’s energy development. He commended the staff for their dedication and urged them to intensify efforts towards increasing the country’s oil reserves.

“The importance of growing our national oil reserves cannot be overstated,” the Minister stated. “It is essential for our energy security and a vital pillar for long-term economic growth.”

Hon. Jinapor stated that his vision is to turn the sector, especially the upstream around by addressing the dwindling oils reserves. He emphasized that enhancing Ghana’s oil reserves would not only strengthen energy independence but also bolster investor confidence in the sector.

In response, the Acting Chief Executive Officer of the Petroleum Commission, Victoria Emeafa Hardcastle expressed appreciation for the Minister’s visit and continued support. She assured the Minister of the Commission’s unwavering commitment to achieving the national objectives outlined during the engagement.

The visit highlighted the Ministry’s dedication to support energy sector institutions and served as a renewed call to action for the Commission’s staff to work diligently in advancing Ghana’s petroleum potential.
