The Deputy Minister for Trade, Agribusiness and Industry, Hon. Sampson Ahi, has paid a working visit to Keda Ghana Ceramics Company Limited, one of the country’s leading manufacturers of ceramic tiles, as part of efforts to deepen government-private sector collaboration in advancing Ghana’s industrial transformation agenda.
Speaking on behalf of the sector Minister, the Deputy Minister expressed government’s appreciation for Keda’s significant investments in the country’s manufacturing sector, describing the company as a “true strategic partner” in Ghana’s quest for value addition and job creation.

“If you look at the level of investment here, it tells us that you are here to do real business with the Government and the people of Ghana. The employment opportunities you’ve created for our people are commendable and help reduce our reliance on imported tiles, which often come with added costs,” the Deputy Minister said.

The visit was undertaken alongside the Ministry’s Chief Director, Mr. Noah Tumfo, and other key officials. The delegation was received by senior representatives of Keda Ghana, who officially welcomed the team on behalf of the Acting Director, Mr. Rohri.

“While Mr. Rohri could not be here today, he extends his warmest regards and deep appreciation for this important visit,” said a company representative. “This engagement — both here in Ghana and our previous interactions in China — speaks to our shared commitment to Ghana’s industrial growth.”

KEDA Ghana acknowledged the importance of aligning with the Ministry’s broader vision of positioning Ghana as a leading manufacturing and commercial hub in West Africa. The company reiterated its readiness to collaborate on inclusive and sustainable initiatives that drive national development.

During his remarks, the Deputy Minister encouraged KEDA Ghana to take advantage of the government’s 24-hour economy initiative, noting that participating in the policy would offer a range of incentives to boost production and competitiveness.

“The 24-hour economy comes with several advantages. We want companies like yours to enrol and benefit from the packages available. Government alone cannot create all the jobs Ghanaians need, so what you are doing here is hugely complementing our efforts, he added.

The visit concluded with a guided tour of the factory to observe the tile production process and identify further areas of collaboration between the Ministry and Keda Ghana Ceramics Company Limited.
