The Committee by consensus recommended to the House for the approval of Hon. Dorcas Affo-Toffey, MP for Jomoro, Deputy Minister for Transport, Hon. James Gyakye Quayson, MP for Assin North, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs, Hon. Mohammed Adam Sukparu, MP for Sissala West, Deputy Minister for Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations, Hon. Dr. Grace Ayensu-Danquah, MP for Essikado-Ketan, Deputy Minister for Health.

Presenting the report of the Committee to the House, the Chairman of the Committee, Hon. Bernard Ahiafor noted that the Committee reviewed relevant documents, invited public input, and held a public hearing on 25th July 2025, during which the nominees responded to questions on their qualifications, experience and vision for their respective Ministries.

“Following thorough scrutiny, the Committee found all nominees competent and suitable. It therefore recommends by consensus that the House approves the nomination of all four individuals for appointment as Deputy Ministers” he stated.

The nominations were officially referred to the Appointments Committee by the Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon. Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin on 17th July 2025, following President Mahama’s submission by Article 78 (1) and 79 (1) of the 1992 Constitution.
