A Book of Condolence has been opened at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in honour of Government Officials and Military Personnel who lost their lives in the helicopter disaster which occurred on Wednesday, 6th August, 2025, in the Ashanti Region.

On Sunday, 10th August, 2025, the Ministry received representatives of the following Diplomatic Missions and International Organisation who paid tribute to the eight who were aboard the Ghana Airforce Z9 helicopter:

Embassy of the Republic of Liberia

Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco

ECOWAS Secretariat

High Commission of the Federal Republic of Nigeria

Embassy of the Republic of Sudan and

Embassy of Italy

May the souls of Dr. Edward Omane Boamah, Alhaji Dr. Ibrahim Murtala Mohammed (MP), Alhaji Muniru Mohammed, Dr. Samuel Sarpong, Mr. Samuel Aboagye, Squadron Leader Peter Baafemi Anala, Flying Officer Manaen Twum Ampadu, and Sergeant Ernest Addo Mensah rest in peace.
