The Minister of Sports and Recreation, has paid a courtesy call on the Vice-Chancellor of KNUST, Professor Rita Akosua Dickson, ahead of delivering my keynote address at the Sports Medicine Association–Ghana Conference.
They held fruitful discussions on the need to increase investment in campus sports infrastructure and enhance the role of sports science and medicine in athlete development.
In his submissions, Mr. Kofi Adams said, ” I am fully align with the university’s vision of holistic education—where academic excellence is matched by athlete wellbeing and performance”, and as a Ministry, “we are committed to collaborating with academia and professional bodies to establish practical, regulated medical standards for sports in Ghana—from grassroots to elite”.
His engagement with KNUST marks a crucial step in strengthening this partnership for the future of sport and recreation in our country.
