During the visit, he observed that residents and farmers were generally adhering to safety and precautionary measures put in place.

The inspection was conducted in the company of the District NADMO Director, Bismark Asugre Farouq, and his team.

Mr. Farouq reported that regular monitoring has ensured that farmers comply with directives, particularly the instruction to stay away from the rising water while attempting to salvage farm produce. Hon. Mahama commended the cooperation of residents and farmers in safeguarding lives and property.

The MP further tasked the NADMO Director to conduct a comprehensive assessment of access areas.

This directive, he noted, is to make it possible for him to conduct a team he is working to bring down to the Constituency round some of the affected areas for them to see at firsthand, the extent of damage the spillage has caused to livelihoods, to aid in policy planning and intervention in this regard.

According to Michael Nangena
NDC Talensi Communication Officer, the MP was later joined by the District Chief Executive, John Millim Nabwomya at Puso-Namongo, where they attended the funeral rites of the late Baag-Naab.

He said, the two leaders also visited the Gorogo community to sympathize with the families of the late Chairman Schiro and Mr. Anthony Pugera, the Ward Chairman of Gorogo-Puso-Namongo, who recently lost his sister.

The MP and the DCE were accompanied by: Michael Nangena, Communications Officer, Roland Basahama, Treasurer, Michael Naab, Director of Elections, and Prince Tindana, Deputy Youth Organizer

In conclusion, the field tour was fruitful, and both the MP and the DCE reaffirmed their commitment to ensuring an incident-free spillage exercise within the Constituency.
