In a Facebook post on Thursday, September 25, the Karaga Member of Parliament praised President Mahama for highlighting critical international issues such as immigration, financing for development, natural resource ownership, the Middle East conflict, and climate change. He commended Mahama’s eloquence and perspectives, noting that they reflect robust international leadership.

However, Dr. Amin Adam emphasized the importance of translating such visionary international discourse into tangible results within Ghana. “It’s important how such a well-articulated vision and approach to international development translates to national development in Ghana, particularly as the reset economy is not resetting, galamsey is out of control, and free speech is being suppressed,” he stated.

As the Ranking Member on the Finance Committee of Parliament, Dr. Amin Adam expressed hope that President Mahama would leverage the leadership principles and global perspectives shared at the UNGA to inform his policies for Ghana’s development. “Let’s hope his leadership principles and global perspectives inform his decision-making for the benefit of Ghana’s development,” he concluded.

Below is the detail on his Facebook wall:

President Mahama at the UNGA

President Mahama’s address at the 80th United Nations General Assembly was truly commendable, particularly his insights on pressing global issues such as immigration, financing for development, the Middle East conflict, and climate change. His eloquent delivery and thought-provoking perspectives showcased his leadership capabilities on the international stage.

It’s important how such a well-articulated vision and approach to international development translates to national development in Ghana, particularly as the reset economy is not resetting, whilst Galamsey is out of control and free speech is being murdered.

Let’s hope his leadership principles and global perspectives inform his decision-making for the benefit of Ghana’s development.

Best wishes to you Mr. President.
