The Minister of Sports and Recreation, Hon Kofi Adams is taking a significant step towards celebrating the country’s rich sports heritage with the proposed establishment of a National Sports Museum. In a meeting held today with the AfCFTA Young Entrepreneur Federation, key stakeholders expressed their commitment to this visionary project. The Federation, led by President Mr. Siita Sofo Hissan and CEO M. N Deen Yawson, outlined their collaborative efforts to bring the museum to fruition, emphasizing its importance in telling the compelling story of Ghanaian sports.
The initiative has garnered strong support from the Ministry of Sports and Recreation. Hon. Kofi Adam, the Minister, expressed enthusiasm for the project, affirming the ministry’s readiness to partner with the Federation. “This museum will serve as a beacon of our sporting history and inspire future generations,” he stated.

The Minister urged the team to conduct broad consultations with relevant institutions and carry out detailed research. “We need to tell a story that is authentic, comprehensive, and indisputable,” he said. “All phases of Ghanaian sports, from traditional games to modern achievements, must be explored to ensure the museum captures every aspect that makes our sports unique and meaningful.”
