The Ghana Gold Board (GoldBod) has strongly denied allegations of recording losses in excess of GHC3 billion in its first year of operations, describing a publication by Asaaseradio as “entirely false and deliberately contrived to undermine its successes”.
In a statement, GoldBod said it has been making significant surpluses/profit since its establishment and will soon publish its quarterly financial statements on its official website to prove this.

The Board has urged the public to disregard the publication, calling it “misleading and unethical”, and has asked Asaaseradio to retract the statement and apologize.
GoldBod maintains it is contributing significantly to Ghana’s economic revitalization and will continue to work towards this goal.
