Dr Gabriel Kwamigah Atokple also known as Chief Tanko, The Volta Regional Representative on the Council of State, has led Team made up with the Volta Regional Minister, James Gunu, the Volta Regional Coordinating Council, the Volta Region House of Chiefs, and representatives of the Regional Islamic and Christian Councils to inspect major government projects in the Region.
Their first point of inspection was the Asikuma-Have-Have-Hohoe Road where the team interacted workers and residents in around the construction site assumed them of government to see the work done on time without compromising on quality for the people.

The team also commend the President and the government highly for their strong commitment to these important projects to open up the Region for busines-fpt their continued support is helping to create better infrastructure that will open up the Volta Region for meaningful economic growth.
Together with the Regional Minister, they admonished the contractors to work round the clock in the 24-hour system in order to realise the President’s vision of “1 job, 3 people, 3 shifts” by employing local artisans to reduce the unemployment gap.

As part of the inspection, they visited several key projects, including: The 53.35km Have-Hohoe Road Project; The 45km Asikuma-Have Road; The 67km Asutsuare Junction-Volivo-Dorfor Adidome-Asikuma Junction Road, including a new bridge over the Volta River; The Sayikope Bridge, a 67.5-metre span bridge over the Aklakpa River; The 17.5km Atimpoku-Asikuma Road Project (Lot 1 – Big Push); The 8.5km Atimpoku-Asikuma Road Project (Lot 2- Big Push) and The 23.4km Asikuma-Anyirawase Road Project (Lot 3-Big Push)
