MP’s Recognition Award ceremony celebrated key contributors to NDC’s historic victory in Dome-Kwabenya.

The Award aimed to honour party executives, branch officials, and individuals who played pivotal roles in the NDC’s historic win in Dome-Kwabenya Constituency during the 2024 Parliamentary elections.

Madam Elikplim Akurugu, MP for the area expressed gratitude for the unprecedented victory given her through the hard work of the party people highlighting some notable individuals and her constituents.

Speaking at the award ceremony the National Chairman of the Party, Johnson Asiedu Nketiah eulogised Greater Accra’s significant contributions in the general election.

He noted that the region’s votes balanced out NPP’s stronghold performance in Ashanti Region, gaining the NDC extra votes from other Regions.

The National Chairman also known as “Chairman General Mosquito”, urged party faithfuls to remain united and supportive, citing past experiences where infighting led to resistance.

According to him winning an election is just the beginning and that managing the aftermath requires solidarity.

Johnson Asiedu Nketiah warned against divisive tendencies, stressing that unity is key to holding onto their hard-earned victory. He was presented with a Platinum Award for his strategic leadership and contribution to the NDC’s success in securing the Dome-Kwabenya seat.

On the issue of “stolen NDC seats”, Mr Asiedu Nketiah reinforced the need for justice, fairness, and unity in politics, preventing vigilantism and misuse of power to changing election results.
