The Minister for the Interior, Hon. Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak, has conducted an on-site inspection of the documentation and body inspection phase of the Ghana Police Service recruitment exercise in the Greater Accra Region, commending its orderly execution while issuing a strong warning against bribery and corruption.

Hon. Muntaka visited key screening venues, including the Ghana Police Church and the National Police Training Academy, where activities were observed to be structured and efficient. Applicants were processed in scheduled sessions, which significantly reduced congestion and ensured a smooth flow of the exercise.

Addressing personnel and applicants, the Minister expressed appreciation for their commitment to duty. He emphasized the importance of strict adherence to approved procedures and protocols, warning against any form of misconduct.

In a message to applicants, Hon. Muntaka warned that recruitment into the security services remains entirely free and merit-based, urging them not to pay money to anyone claiming influence over the process. โ€œWe are watching with eagle eyes and have started making some arrests, and will keep monitoring,โ€ the Minister stated.

The Minister reiterated the Ministry of the Interiorโ€™s dedication to transparency, accountability, and integrity in building Ghanaโ€™s security institutions. He recommended that personnel maintain high standards of integrity throughout subsequent stages, including physical fitness tests and medical examinations, and that similar oversight be sustained in future exercises.
