The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has set up a collation center to monitor the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) presidential primaries, currently underway nationwide-January 31, 2026.
The party’s Deputy National Director of Elections, Rashid Tanko-Computer, stated that the move aims to ensure transparency and prevent potential “cooking of figures” in collaboration with the Electoral Commission (EC).
The NDC has deployed monitoring teams across the country to track the NPP’s internal electoral process. Tanko-Computer expressed concerns about possible collusion between the NPP and the EC, citing past internal friction within the NPP as evidence of mistrust.
NDC Communications Director, Sammy Gyamfi, also raised similar point and urged supporters to remain vigilant and head to collation centers to monitor the process peacefully.
The NDC’s collation center will track results in real-time, and party observers will be stationed at polling centers nationwide.
