Francis-Xavier Kojo Sosu, the Member of Parliament for Madina on the ticket of the NDC has achieved a major milestone – earning his PhD in Law from the University of Ghana, Legon on 10th February, 2026.

This impressive feat is just the latest addition to his already impressive academic credentials, which include an MA in Economic Policy Management, LLM in Oil and Gas Law, and an LLB from the University of Ghana.
Sosu’s academic prowess is matched by his dedication to public service. As a human rights lawyer and politician, he’s made significant contributions to Ghana’s legislative landscape. He’s the Ranking Member on the Subsidiary Legislation Committee and serves on several key committees, including Constitutional and Legal Affairs, Foreign Affairs, and Special Committee on Winnowing.

Sosu’s commitment to justice and human rights is evident in his work.
He’s a vocal advocate for the marginalized, and his legislative efforts have led to significant advancements, including the abolition of capital punishment in Ghana.
Before entering politics, Sosu worked as a legal counsel at Logan & Associates and founded F-X Law and Associates, a human rights and public interest law firm.
