Towards the end of last year, two outstanding young women under the HAPPY Project, Kwarteng Audrina Brown and Mary Assogba were each awarded grants of GH₵20,000 to establish poultry enterprises as part of efforts to promote sustainable livelihoods and youth entrepreneurship.
Ms. Brown began raising day-old chicks to five weeks for sale and is now confidently managing her expanding enterprise. Similarly, Ms. Assogba is currently in the process of setting up and producing broilers for market and steadily build her customer base.
During a recent visit to the National Service Authority Head Office, the project lead formally introduced Mary and Brown to the Director-General and the Deputy Director-General (DDG) – Programmes and Operations, where they shared their inspiring journeys and expressed heartfelt appreciation for the opportunity given to them.
These success stories reflect the impact of strategic interventions designed by the HAPPY Project to transition young graduates from job seekers into job creators, contributing meaningfully to local economic development.
The National Service Authority expresses its appreciation to TechnoServe, a key consortium partner of the HAPPY Project, for providing this grant and advancing dignified youth entrepreneurship.
