The MP for Tempane and Minister responsible for Public Sector Reforms Lydia Lamisi Akanvariba on 6th September 2025, commissioned and handed over an ultramodern multipurpose facility, Yamoransa Model Lab 15, at Woriyanga to the Tempane District Education Office.
This magnificent edifice comprises a 64-seater computer lab, a 100-seater conference room, and a robotics lab—a game-changing investment in education and innovation for our young people.
As part of her continuous support for education in the area, she offered GHs 100,000.00 in scholarships to 50 needy but brilliant tertiary students in the constituency, donated GHS 50,000.00 to the Tempane District Education Office to aid their operational activities.
The MP also presented laptops to 3 visually impaired students in the constituency as she also made available, an amount of GHs 43,200 for the reroofing of Kpikira Basic School after a rainstorm disaster.

extended a special appreciation to the partners, the Helping Africa Foundation (HAF), whose immense support and partnership have made this Yamoransa Model Lab possible.
In MP in an interview with the media said, “it is worth noting that there are only 16 Yamoransa Model Labs across the entire country—one in every region—and Tempane Constituency is the only constituency in the whole of Upper East Region that boasts of this beautiful edifice. This is truly a moment of pride and progress for us all!”
The handing over ceremony was graced by distinguished personalities, including Musah Abdulai (Presidential Staffer at the Office of the Vice President), Joseph Mbilla (DCE for Tempane), Frederick Alale (District Director of Education), chiefs, teachers, students, and community members.
“This is not just a facility; it is a gateway to opportunity, knowledge, and transformation for our children and generations yet unborn. Together, with unity and determination, we shall continue to build the prosperous Tempane we all dream of”, she added.
