The Western Region edition of the Energy Commission’s 2025 Electrical Wiring Certification and Awards Ceremony for the Western & Central Regions was held on 25th September 2025 at the Akroma Plaza Hotel, Takoradi.
Under the theme: “Empowering Certified Practitioners: Securing L.I. 2008 Through Professional Authentication”, the ceremony reinforced the importance of professionalism and compliance in Ghana’s electrical industry.
A total of 137 electricians were officially certified as Electrical Wiring Professionals, a step forward in promoting safety and excellence.
While we celebrate this milestone, it is important to note that there was no female candidate at this year’s Western & Central Regions graduation.
This highlights the urgent need to empower and encourage more women to break barriers and take up careers in this male-dominated profession, driving gender balance and inclusion in Ghana’s electrical industry.
Congratulations to Mr. Dzidodo Bright, who emerged as the Overall Best Candidate for the Western & Central Regions.
