CEO of NPA Godwin Tameklo holds briefing with Regional Security Councils in a nationwide tour

The Acting Chief Executive of the National Petroleum Authority, Lawyer Godwin Kudzo Tameklo has embarked on a nationwide working visit to the Ashanti, Eastern, and Volta Regions.

In the Ashanti Region, he convened an important meeting with the Regional Security Council, led by the Regional Minister, Dr. Frank Amoakohene. Together, they discussed strategies to enhance collaboration between the National Petroleum Authority (NPA), security agencies, and other key stakeholders in the Region.

He later toured the BOST Kumasi Depot and the GOIL LPG bottling plant, gaining valuable insights into their operations.

Mr. Tameklo wrapped up his visit at the NPA Regional Office, where he engaged in discussions with staff, fostering a spirit of teamwork and support.

He continued his nationwide familiarization tour with a visit to the Eastern Region on 25th March 2025 where he engaged in meaningful discussions with the Regional Security Council, chaired by the Regional Minister, Rita Akosua Adjei Awatey. Together, they explored strategies to enhance collaboration among the Authority’s key stakeholders in the Region.

Mr. Tameklo emphasized the importance of support from the heads of the security agencies in tackling the challenges posed by illicit fuel activities. He recognized their vital contributions to ensuring smooth operations across the region.

Following this, he visited the Regional office of the NPA, where he met with the staff.

On Wednesday, 26th March 2025, Lawyer Tameklo was in the Volta Region where he called on Togbe Afede XIV, the Agbogbomefia of the Asogli State.

Following this, they held a meeting with the Regional Security Council to reinforce their existing relationships and foster collaboration. During this visit, Mr. Tameklo took the opportunity to present relief items to those affected by the recent devastating tidal waves, which were received by the Regional Minister, James Gunu.

Next, the team visited the Volta Regional Office of the National Petroleum, where The CEO engaged with the staff.

The visitation concluded with a tour of a Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) underground storage facility in Hohoe.
