The Member of Parliament for Talensi, Daniel Dung Mahama, has provided monetary support of GH¢100,000.00 to all 84 candidates contesting in this year’s Constituency Executives election to aid their campaign activities.
Under the package, each candidate received GH¢1,000.00, while aspirants for the positions of Chairman, Women’s Organizer and Youth Organizer received *GH¢2,000.00* each.
Speaking before the presentation, Hon. Mahama admonished the aspirants to conduct their campaigns devoid of insults and acts that could disturb the peace and unity the party enjoys in the constituency.
He assured them of his readiness to work with whoever the delegates elect to advance the course of the party and government in Talensi.
The District Chief Executive and outgoing Constituency Chairman, John Millim Nabwomya, together with Ben Yindol, elder and former Presiding Member, and Chief Vaad, the outgoing Constituency Organizer, also took turns to advise the candidates against negative tendencies.
Prior to meeting the candidates, the MP and DCE held their usual quarterly expanded constituency executive meeting – a practice instituted by the Chairman Millim-led executives and Hon. Mahama in 2023.
At the meeting, both the MP and DCE provided updates on projects and activities they have championed within the period to keep constituency executives and ward chairmen well informed of government and MP’s activities in the constituency.
Both meetings ended successfully, with attendees expressing satisfaction with the updates and the financial support.
