The Chief Executive of the National Petroleum Authority (NPA), Mr. Godwin Kudzo Tameklo Esq., has reaffirmed the Authority’s unwavering commitment to strengthening health, safety, security, environment, and quality (HSSEQ) standards across Ghana’s downstream petroleum sector.
He was speaking as a Special Guest at the 2026 HSSEQ Week celebration hosted by GOIL PLC at the GOBitumen Terminal in Tema, on 28th April 2026.
The week-long programmed, held under the global theme of the 2026 International Labour Organization World Day for Safety and Health — “Promoting a Positive Psychosocial Working Environment” — brings together industry leaders, regulators, and staff to deepen collaboration and promote best practices.
Mr. Tameklo commended GOIL for its leadership in institutionalising HSSEQ across its nationwide operations, describing the initiative as a model for the industry.
He further emphasised that the Authority would continue to provide regulatory guidance and oversight to support companies in achieving the highest standards of compliance and performance.
